Michael Marum Commends Kumuls on Performance in Recent Pacific Test

by Elijah Lavett – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

Michael Marum has commended the PNG LNG Kumuls for their outstanding Pacific Test performance.

Michael Marum, in an interview with EMTV Sport today, described the Kumuls performance as one of the best in a long time.

Marum says their game plan heading into the match was to play more defensive, knowing how quick the Bati’s were.

He described half back, Watson Boas performance as one of the best in the team, even though he was Marum’s second choice to put on the number 7 jersey.

He explained how David Mead was selected to be captain and commended his performance, saying he put his body on the line.

Marum says he is pushing for the Kumuls to play more international friendlies in preparation for the 2017 World Cup. After the Kumuls win, Papua New Guinea moves up on the World Rankings.
