IBS Usino Bundi Students Receives Financial Assistance

Students attending tertiary institutions from the Madang province, Usino Bundi electorate, for the second time now have all their fees paid by the member of the electorate, Anton Yagama.

Yagama today presented a cheque to the Institute of Business Studies administration, and students from the electorate.

Twelve students from the Usino Bundi electorate, studying at the Institute of Business Studies, received financial assistance from the member for school fees.

Usino Bundi member, Anton Yagama, presented a cheque of more than K20 000, to the Manager of IBS Centre of Excellence, Sivalinga Prasad, on behalf of the students.

Students present to witness the presentation expressed their gratitude for the member, saying that this was the first of its kind for a member from the electorate to help sponsor students.

Yagama said helping students at tertiary institutions is a priority for the electorate, therefore investing in the human resource is of great importance. A total of 557 students from the electorate in 73 institutions in the country, have been catered for with a budget of K3.5 million for school fees.

He also added that he could only sponsor students studying in the country and not overseas, as he was restricted on funds, but says he will continue to provide funds for students in his electorate as long as he is the member.
