Hunters and Seagulls to Face Off at Sir John Guise

by Elijah Lavett – EM TV Sports, Port Moresby

The PNG Hunters are on a 14 game winning streak, and will return to Port Moresby for this Sunday’s Queensland Cup rugby league clash against the third placed Wynnum Manly Seagulls.

The Michael Marum coached side played in front of a sell-out crowd at the Sir John Guise Stadium prior to the Pacific Games, and this week will again venture away from Kalabond Oval which has been their home for the past two seasons.

They have a score to settle with the Seagulls, who beat them 36-18 back in round six of the competition.

Both teams are coming off from wins last weekend, with the Hunters beating Ipswich and the Seagulls too strong for Burleigh.

Halfback, Ase Boas, and second rower, Brandy Peter, have recovered from injuries to be named in the squad for this weekend’s vital clash.

Sunday’s game kicks off at 2.30pm with tickets to go on sale on Friday at Stop-N-Shop outlets around the city.

Tickets will be K50 for the main grandstands, and K25 for the outer stands.
