With allthe excitement forthPNG Golf Open teeing off next week in Port Moresby,the Local Junior Golfers will kick startthe week with its Junior Pro AM tournament.
Five professional Golfers will lead each group consisting of three juniors respectively.
Sixteen girls and nine boys will be participating in this year’s Junior Pro AM challenge next Tuesday. These junior golfers were selected fromtheInternational schools in Port Moresby including few from Paradise and Gerehu High Schools and Sacred heart Primary School.
The one day challenge will leadthe week intothe main international Golfing Event inthe country,thPNG Open.
The 9 holes challenge will givethese junior golfers experience and will assistthem to developtheir skills.
As major sponsor forthPNG Golf Association, Bank of south Pacific is also sponsoringthe junior program.
It is hoped that this will be staged as an annual event and thatthe group numbers can be extended inthe future.
However this will depend onthe number of pros available.
Meantime,these junior golfers are prepared for this one day challenge.
