Department of Education Launched Two New Policies

The Department of Education today launched Two Education Policies in order to improve standards in the country.

Apart from the policies, an application software for school inspectors to utilise when inspecting schools.

Over 200 schools inspectors nationwide are currently in Port Moresby attending a week long workshop.

The National Quality School Standards Framework and National Approach to School Standards Assessments policies and the software NASSA was officially launched by the Minister for Education Nck Kuman.

In attendance were over 200 school Inspectors from around the country who are in Port Moresby for a week long workshop on the policy and the software.

The Education Department aims to improve quality of Education and such policies when implemented will raise standards, while the software will enable school Inspectors to effectively send advisory reports back to the Department from anywhere in PNG.

These changes comes has the Education Department looks to restructure the Education System in the country.
