Body of Woman Found in Lae’s Bumbu River

A body of an elderly woman was found early yesterday in the Bumbu River in Lae.

Nearby residents found her body at around 4 o’clock this morning and reported it to police.

Lae Metropolitan Commander, Chief Superintendent, Anthony Wagambie Jr., says from reports police gathered she resides at TalAir Compound.

Police were at the scene to retrieve the body. An investigation is being carried out to to find out the cause of her death.
