The Tokarara Secondary School Celebrated their 5th Grade 12 Graduation after two weeks of exams.
204 graduands were witnessed by family members with the support of staff, administration and fellow students to receive their certificates. 2017 will see some continue their education at national tertiary institutions.
In his welcome speech the principal Mr.Manga, stressed on the journey of life and the journey of hope and education the students have taken by attending Tokarara Secondary School.
Guest speaker and former principal, Mr Sam Lora, who is now Assistant Secretary for Education in NCD, emphasized that the youth of today have increasing challenges as years pass in the city.
Tokarara Secondary School Science Dux for 2016 was given to Ivero Timothy and Dux of Business Studies was given to Terence Mandalo.
ITI has also partnered with Tokarara Secondary School and gave away two scholarships to promising students- Lawrence Wesley and Valerie Miana
The event was the first to be hosted in the school itself.
